Who We Are:
Garrett County Education Association is a member driven organization of education employees from a wide variety of career classifications. We are the teachers, instructional assistants, secretaries, building service workers, cafeteria workers and maintenance staff that make Garrett County Public Schools function for our students and communities on a day to day basis. GCEA is an affiliate of the Maryland State Education Association and the National Education Association.

Who and What is a UniServ Director?
A UniServ Director is an employee of the Maryland State Education Association who is assigned to a local affiliate of MSEA and the National Education Association. A UniServ Director advocates for members on issues related to education law, the negotiated agreement and member benefits. A UniServ Director also organizes and mobilizes the members, the community and resources necessary for the elected leadership of the Association to carry out its mission.
